L B JACOTAbout

Louis Brooke Jacot is a British artist, designer and fine furniture maker based in Los Angeles.

Growing up in a 750-year-old oak-framed cottage in rural Suffolk, England, he was surrounded and inspired by traditional craftsmanship and timeless techniques. With the guidance of his mother and grandfather, he first picked up a hammer at three and has hardly put it down since.

Studying design-technology and art throughout his school career, he finally trained classically in fine furniture making in Oxford before moving from London to LA in 2024.

His unique and bespoke couture works are tailored for the unique individuals, narratives and sentiments for which they are commissioned.

Looking ahead, he's developing plans for a furniture collection inspired by his move to LA and his experience of the city as a newcomer.

His focus is on creating considered and contextual pieces intertwined with their purpose, aiming to evoke the depth of design, embellishment, and functionality of the past through his present lens.
